75% destemmed, 25% whole bunch, 10 days cold soak, wild ferment, basket pressed, 12 month in old and new French oak barrels, no filtration, no fining, screwcap.
Intense boysenberry purple, black cherry, dried prune and strawberry fruit with underlying spicy character on the nose. Relatively soft attack, well balanced mid mouth with present tannic structure and a lot of the spicy aromatics shining through. Long finish.
A bright cool climate Pinot Noir that shows a punchy, whole bunch character and while it is lovely to drink now, will certainly gain by being cellared for a couple of years. Serve around 16 degrees with some hard rind cheese or a lamb roast.
